About Me

Hi there! I’m Josh. I’m from the United States. I was raised in Boulder, Colorado. I grew up playing sports. Mainly soccer (football). I love to ski and golf and be outdoors. I’ve been teaching myself guitar for the last several years and I just started with piano. I also taught myself to sew during covid! I’m curious by nature and just want to have a good time! I love walking around cities without an agenda. I enjoy time by myself, thinking, writing, or reading. But I also love meeting people and going out on the town to dance!

I’m currently traveling around solo for my first time. I’ve got no plans. I’m just seeing where the world takes me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here to really connect with people from all over the world. I feel like that’s what everyone says but it’s really true!

Couchsurfing is such a cool way to travel when you’re on the road and such an awesome way to share your world when you’re at home.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classic rock, indie, jam bands, music to dance to, music to cry to, bluegrass
Lord of the Rings, anything Wes Anderson, love Tarantino, Martin Scorsese
Cloud Atlas (haven’t seen the movie but love the book!), Game of Thrones, I really enjoy autobiographies (Greenlights, Born a Crime, Heat and Dirt by Bill Buford), The Count of Monte Cristo, Dune (only the first six books written by Frank Herbert)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my full-time job so I could travel around the world! I also quit drinking three years ago and have been so much happier and healthier since.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d love to share/exchange all things cooking. I can teach what I know and would be keen to learn what you know!

Also music! I’m learning guitar and piano so I’m happy to share what I know but would also love to pick up a few things from others that may be much more experienced!

I want to learn about and connect with people from different cultures and world experiences and share mine in the process!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m more than happy to cook meals!
Help around the house.
Also happy to share my knowledge on any other topics I know anything about (skiing, golf, sewing, guitar, etc.)
