About Me

My name is Josh, I'm a 25 year old entrepreneur and ex Paramedic and I finally have the freedom to do some travelling of my own. I'm a women's strength coach specializing in age 40-60, I'm also an athlete, a poet and a culture enthusiast more than anything; I love to experience new things and new people. I'll try anything at least twice, as easy going as they come and I'll never say no to a new experience. Nothing is too weird to try haha.

I've lived my life without the ability to travel until now and I've seen the growth that so many of my friends have experienced from seeing the world, experiencing different people in different lives, sharing stories and sharing meals and connecting as humans were designed to. My job on this earth is to make the world a better place and I'm starting in the health and fitness industry by reaching the people who need it the most; this is my greatest love.

I started a company that I'm praying will expand into something massively impactful. 15% of all proceeds help fight human trafficking in India, Thailand and Cambodia. People are where my heart is and my life is dedicated to making lives better. It doesn't always have to be a rescue mission, it could be something as simple as a cup of coffee or words of encouragement because you never know what people need.

Also, for the record I have hosted a group of 4 recently but the proper posting didn't make it up for some reason.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's nothing I like to do more while travelling than to experience a different lifestyle or culture. Hotels are designed in such a way that it shelters tourists from living locally and actually meeting people with stories and interesting lives of their own. This os what makes a trip worth while. You can't experience life in a hotel by yourself!

I'm hoping to make new friends in new countries and perhaps when you come to visit me, I'll be able to open my home to you as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite kinds of books are educational/non fiction... I know.. boring. I just love to learn. Anything about psychology, science (yea I've read text books for fun), finances, culture or anything else that's impactful.

I'm easy going with my music as long as it was made with some soul. If I feel it in my bones then it's my kind of music :) My favourite kind of music is that which gives me chills. I love good quality hip hop, classical, solo violin or piano and like I said, anything else with soul.

Movies... can I admit that I just like a good comedy/action where people fight and things go boom? I'm easy to please like that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been skydiving and I used to dance competitively but really, I hope the best is yet to come. The world is full of too many amazing things and even more amazing people to be able to just do one amazing thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love educating people on health and lifestyle wellness. I also tend to pick up languages rather quickly which makes travelling that much more exciting. I'm learning Hindi, I lost most of my American Sign Language but I would say I'm still basic conversational. German is long gone as I haven't used any in years... education is what drives us as people. There's no time in this life to stop learning; not necessarily from a book but from each other too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Any experiences and health tips. I specialize in spinal, knee, hip and shoulder rehabilitation. If you have any aches, pains or strains, I'll be happy to take a look at them to see if I can help! It's what I do best and I love doing it so don't hesitate to ask.

I'm also not a terrible cook though I'm better with a recipe book in hand.. if we have that, I'm happy to do the cooking! More correctly stated, I would love to do the cooking.
