About Me

Over the course of my (so far short) life, I have been provided with countless opportunities to experience new things, whether that be a new sport, new language, new culture and so on, it's been an absolutely wild learning curve from the very start! And it's a curve that I don't want to plateau anytime soon.

Although my travelling experience is limited to only a few countries, namely Spain, France and Belgium with some expeditions going further north of the U.K. Into Scotland, I absolutely love the feeling of absorbing something unknown to me and while I haven't been all over the globe, it is certainly on my bucket list! With countless experiences, the world is my oyster.

Seize the moment, it doesn't matter if it costs money, you just have to think whether the experience itself is greater than the idea of parting with your cash. Think of it this way, in 20 years time, when you're looking back on your life, the things that you're going to regret aren't the things you've done, but the things you didn't do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just love meeting new people, hearing of their experiences and just generally being given the opportunity to broaden my mind, to other viewpoints, other beliefs, and just generally a way of life different to that of my own!

Interests

My interests? Jeeze, where do I start? I've been with a youth organisation known as the sea cadets for nearly 9 years, and it's this mostly that has introduced me to a number of the activities that I still enjoy to this very day. Admittedly, a large majority of these are water based, like kayaking, rowing and power boating, but then you get into a more artistic frame of my mind, where lies playing the guitar, drawing and (attempting to) learn a language.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm quite happy to listen to anything really... Well anything but hardcore screamo and British grime :/
Favourite movie: The Butterfly Effect

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The one thing that really sticks out in my mind happened on an Interrail trip with a friend where while we were staying in Budapest (absolutely stunning, really recommend it!) we ended up climbing Liberty Bridge!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to think of this more as an exchange, I'll teach you, share with you my stories if you're happy to do the same.. "Woah wisdom"

What I Can Share with Hosts

While it is probably safe to say that I am more of a "jack of all trades, master of none", I am more than happy to just generally give a helping hand in terms of cooking, cleaning etc. with some entertainment along the way (unless of course I'm sleep deprived haha) in the form of guitar playing, and conversation where we can hopefully have a good laugh.
Although I must warn you... I think my singing voice is better than it actually is..
