About Me
Hello, My name is Josh
I am a student studying Philosophy and Visual Communications in Northern Arizona University; I have never traveled outside my own country before and would like to change that. This summer I will be arriving in France to perfect my French speaking abilities, as well, expanding on cultural knowledge, customs, and hope to visit the magnificent historical art of Europe. I also hope to make many good friends and share wonderful experiences with people. I am very sociable, polite, adaptable, I absolutely love reading, writing, and learning anything that promotes intellectual enrichment, I especially enjoy studying philosophy. In general i am student with a passion for learning new and exciting things. Furthermore, I am versatile, hardworking and disciplined, so any task that you throw at me, I will take on with a positive attitude, dedication and a willingness to learn. Finally, I hope to grow from my time and experiences in Europe both intellectually and spiritually. If there is anything more you would like to know please ask. Thank you for reading; I look forward to meeting someday! ^_^
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am completely new to Couch-surfing, in fact this is the very first time I have used the app. It is quite unique and something every traveler should have along with other means of communicating with spending time as nomadic traveler. I definitely chose couchsurfing because it connects directly with real people of the country. I wanted to get a great feel for what individual lives were like in other countries. Couch surfing is particularly helpful for travelers who are on constant travel until they connect with a longer term host.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To have courage enough to travel alone for the very first time in foreign country and trust that everything is going to be alright.
Teach, Learn, Share
As I have been in France, I have had a lot of time alone walking the streets of Paris appreciating all there is and everything around me. Traveling alone in the world can be frightening because one cannot be completely be ready for so much change; the fears of being lost, homeless, hurt, alone, so poor that you no longer have any means to pay for the next meal, fear of being in pain, is however, something I have realized to be all distractions. Distractions keep us from realizing our potential to finding True Knowledge. I admit that I do not know what the true knowledge is but I am practicing not being in fear of misfortune. As I spend time watching the city I place my mind in the moment, in the now. Then I can truly feel like I am experiencing what it feels like "to be" and appreciate more. Lastly, be kind and have courage, the rest takes care of itself, trust me, you will be surprised what could happen.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share any and all that I have whether that be food I have or items I bring along. I am a native american and I can definitely share with you my cultural background and philosophical experiences. I am a very communicative, pleasant, and jolly person to get to know with many stories and experiences to offer.
