I am a mathematics grad student at Michigan State University. Went to undergrad at Kansas State University, graduated in 2015 and I'm from a small farm in Kansas. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a lease on an apartment in East Lansing, MI, but I need to be in town before the lease starts and will probably not be able to move in until 2 weeks after I arrive in town and I know very few people in the area, so I am trying to figure out all the options I can that are not going to bankrupt me with hotel fees.

Interests

I like doing things like board gaming, ultimate frisbee, bike polo, running, hiking, swing dancing, table tennis, juggling, reading sci-fi, cooking, and gardening/taking care of farm animals. I'm a big animal person, no allergies to them, so no worries with pets.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was paid to live in Hawaii for a summer to do math research, and while there, I jumped off lots of cliffs into water, it was fun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach juggling, including how to juggle 3-5 objects and do several tricks, I can teach bike riding and proper running and stretching techniques for long distance running, I have some practical knowledge about plants and the type of weather and soil they like to grow in as well as some medicinal properties. I know how to take care of goats, sheep, chickens, and smallscale cattle, as well as how to milk goats and cows by hand or by machine. Willing to read a book to you aloud.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can pay you a few bucks if I get to bring some of my stuff to store until I move into my place. Other than that, I can help out with most chores and many of the things listed in my Teach, Learn, Share section.
