Sobre mí

Hi, I'm a person who is interested in learning new things and seeing the world from other people's perspectives.

What does that even mean?
Well, it means that I want to grow, it means that I think other people like you can teach me some valuable lessons, and that maybe I can even share some of my own.
When I say learning new things I really mean it. I want to be thrown face first into challenges. When I meet you, and when you surprise me by teaching me something I didn't previously know, man, I'm going to be really grateful of that. I'm already a little bit grateful that it has the chance of happening.

I'd like to think I'm friendly, and generous and kind and compassionate and patient - and I try to be. I like talking quickly and with enthusiasm about things but that doesn't mean I don't get anxious about my future or if I'm being a polite and good enough guest.

I love to be captivated. To fall into flow and just come up with ideas and write non-stop for ages. I like to experiment with how I live, with how I eat and what I eat, with activities and skills. Partying? On occasion, but I don't really make it a priority. By that I mean that if you are party-friendly, then on occasion so am I, but if you aren't, then I'm not. I guess I try and adapt myself to the needs of people around me.

Hey, I hope I get to stay with you, and I hope in the future I can be a great host as well!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Travelling on the cheap has become a challenge for me. I've been spending my time volunteering at hostels and in communities and I realised I could go one step further, to Couchsurfing. I really love to cook and try cook different things with limited ingredients (I'm not necessarily great at it, but I'm learning as I go) - people on Couchsurfing are more likely to have usable kitchens and some basics to cook with, they also have new ideas and experiences regarding cooking but also many, many other things. That's why I'm here. It's for you, your brain, your kitchen and my pocket.

Música, películas y libros

Music: I like it slow and smooth, I like it fast and melodic, I like it real damn funky and real dang groovy.
Films: (Directors) Anderson, Miyazaki, Tarantino, Ritchie, Whedon - they got some good films. I like films that make you think, that are about emotional developement of characters more than the plot, that have enough depth for there to be an amazing video essay about it on YouTube.
Books: Outliers, Siddartha, Grit, everything Isaac Asimov, Nudge, Dystopian future books (F451, BNW, 1984), The Social Animal, Vagabonding, The Consolations of Philosophy and hopefully many mopre by the end of this journey.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I worked with 3 Pumas and a Jaguar over the course of 6 weeks - walking with them on ropes through the jungle, sometimes running. Sometimes they tried to attack and sometimes they succeeded - but it was mostly playful and a lot of fun!
I also worked with monkeys - they bit me too but it wasn't as scary.
