Overview
About Me
Hello world! I am a solo backpacker from America. More specifically, I am from Austin, the capital of Texas! (YEE HAW) I just started backpacking over the past year, visiting South America and South East Asia. Truth be told, I am absolutely in love with Asia. I've quit my job, sold most of my belongings and started the adventure of a lifetime! My journey started in August in Vietnam where I bought a motorbike in Saigon and drove it all over the country! Recently, i've made my home in Hue Central Vietnam where i've been teaching English. In my free time, i'm an avid cyclist and motorcycle enthusiast!
I'm a social creature and thrive on meaningful connections with new friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing for the first time ever this trip to Japan. I'm making it my goal to meet and make friends with as many local Japanese people as I can!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite band of all time has to be the legendary American rock band of the 70's, The Doors! My favorite Author is Jack Kerouac who has inspired me to travel through his novel "On The Road".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The coolest thing i've ever done definitely has to be climbing Mount Acatenango in central Guatemala. The hike takes 2 days ending in a summit at 4000 meters watching the sunrise over the cloud line.
