I've been living in Bogotá, Colombia for the past year and a half now and am planning to travel round as much of the rest of South America as I can from June-October! I'm a Brit, but half-way to being Colombian by now.
I'm up for adventures, down for chilled ones, a good laugh and a decent cook (kind of important, right?)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm hoping to show people the best bits of Bogotá and help them work out what they do in the rest of Colombia (Been here a while now, so know some gems that you might not hear about elsewhere)

I also hope that, when the time comes, I might be able to stay with fellow Coachsurfers and have you show your city off to me! (I'm good with parents and pets haha)

Music tastes are eclectic:
Currently lots of salsa, vallenato and cumbia
Previously lots of samba and jazz. Also (being a Manchester boy) have always been an Indie fan

Best movie I've seen recently was La Piel Que Habito, but big Trainspotting and Submarine fan too

Currently reading El Amor en los Tiempos del Cólera by García Marquez...wonderful read!

Algo increíble que he hecho

As part of my year abroad for my degree, I worked in one of the poorest communities in a favela of the city of Granada in Nicaragua. The work was centred around education (literacy and numeracy skills) but being involved with water, health and sanitation for one of the poorest communities in the poorest country in Latin America was an incredibly moving, emotional experience.
