Hello!
My name is Josh. I was born in Michigan and have moved and lived all around the last few years. I find it difficult to sit still and always look for the next place that catches my interest. Lately, that place has been somewhere called Ascension Island. I work on a remote British island a few months a year and the rest of my time is my own. I’m an air traffic controller and have done that for almost 9 years. In between, I’ve taught English in several countries, coached sports, worked in conservation projects, and done a lot of volunteering.
The outdoors is what really draws me and the idea of close knit communities makes me happy. To me, Couchsurfing often meets that need for a happy community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ran R2R2R in the Grand Canyon in less than 12 hours.
Climbed a 200ish foot tree in India with foot loops and a chainsaw on my back.
Cycled over 2,000 miles through Indian wilderness in search of a tiger.
