About Me
Hello! I am so excited to become a part of the Couchsurfing community!
My travel style in a nutshell:
I'm more of a quiet traveler. When in big cities, I prefer visiting museums all day and going to bed early over going out at night. I prefer secluded beaches over party beaches. I prefer going places on the off-season over the busy season. I love travel photography and am always in search of a great view.
If interested, below is a little summary of my life! :-)
I was born and raised in Colorado in the USA. Denver is the perfect city for me - all the culture and activity of a city, close to the mountains and nature, not too big, and not too small. If you haven't been, you should visit!
After high school, I went to circus school in Vermont. I completed a one year professional training program at the New England Center for Circus Arts. My major was Dance Trapeze and my minor was Net! I have continued to teaching aerial dance ever since.
After circus school, I went to college in Denver to get my music degree. When I finished college, I spent a short time living in New York, but moved back to Colorado after realizing NYC was just too big for me.
For the last three years, I was a preschool teacher in Denver. I love little kids, so it was a blast hanging out with them every day. I even got to share my love of travel with them by teaching a daily World Awareness lesson! They learned about a new place every day and did a project or craft about it. Over the year, we studied over 80 countries!
Now I'm taking a year off to travel! I have a travel blog I'm working on, so I'm excited to spend some more time working on that. When I'm not traveling, I plan on performing in some theatre productions back in Colorado. If the blog works out, I might keep traveling full time for a few more years. If not, I'll return back to Colorado to become a high school choir teacher and keep on traveling during my breaks! :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travel and I love meeting new people, so couchsurfing is the perfect place to combine the two. I also love hearing the insider tips and tricks from the locals!
I will be out of the country on a pretty consistent basis this next year, so I can't host anytime soon. Hoping to do so in the future!

Music, Movies, and Books
I always have a hard time with these questions - so many favorites, so little time! In terms of music, I love everything from choral to pop to jazz to musical theatre. With movies, dramas, comedies, and everything in between. But, my two all-time favorites: Music = Sara Bareilles. Movie = Clue.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you trapeze! A nearby playground is good enough to show you show cool circus tricks. :-)
I can also share some pretty hilarious first date stories, tell you what circus school was like, or get deep and talk about what growing up gay and Mormon was like (no, I am no longer Mormon). I love learning about people, so I'm all for swapping life stories.
I'm up for learning anything: new languages, new recipes, new dance moves. Life is one constant journey of learning.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to offer my hosts a bottle of wine or a great meal out at one of your favorite restaurants.
