A kid originally from Australia who received a job offer whilst sitting at a desk in Melbourne four years ago. Six weeks later I departed on a flight to live and work in NYC. Haven't looked back just yet!

I take great care and pride in showing visiting friends, new and old, all of the weird, wonderful, and wicked aspects of this amazing city. We'll experience the uncrowded rooftop bar with phenomenal views of the city, the best dirt cheap pork buns in Chinatown not yet discovered by tourists, a rustic neighborhood bar with cheap beer and shark mannequins hung all over the walls, the tranquil park hidden away from the busy avenues, and many, many more places where locals go to enjoy their time in NYC.

I am a young business professional who has worked in advisory, real estate and construction, and investment banking. While i'm passionate about my career, it's fun to leave work at the office and talk to guests about languages (currently teaching myself Spanish), photography, art, volunteering, travel, food and drink, live music, and sports.

The Intouchables remains my favourite movie. It's opening scene is electric and clever, the storyline is challenging and warming, the music score is unrivaled in its beauty, and by the final scene it's made you wish it wasn't ending just yet. There are few films that can compare in my eyes.

My music tastes are constantly changing. While there are always artists coming and going from my focus, the following have remained fairly constant; Earth, Wind and Fire, Above and Beyond, Michael Jackson, Chic, Kool and The Gang, Luther Vandross, Chromeo, Client Liaison, Frank Ocean, Todd Terje, Kaytranada, FKJ, City And Colour, Foals, Glass Animals, Kurt Vile, Tom Misch, The War on Drugs, and Daniel Caesar.

Learning Spanish has focused my reading on mostly foreign language articles, books, and short stories. In English my main book interests are mostly related to behavioural economics or personal finance.

Driving, hiking, and camping through South West National Park with four friends in Tasmania, Australia. The National Park is literally home to some of the cleanest air in the world and we didn't see another soul for three days straight.

Couchsurfing has also opened up many amazing opportunities. Secret light shows in Copenhagen, watching the sun rise over volcanoes in Guatemala, swimming with hammerhead sharks in Ecuador, private artist loft dinner parties in Paris, mind-blowingly fresh sushi prepared by a grandmother and her son in Osaka, and freezing turquoise lake swims hidden in the Colorado Rockies were all unforgettable experiences shared with locals.
