About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Take advantage of every opportunity to learn, grow, and gain new experiences.

I see travel as a privilege, so I want to do it well!

ABOUT ME

I am a Canadian engineering student who loves to travel and experience different cultures.

I was born and grew up in Western Canada, went to high school in Malaysia, moved to the far East of Canada for university, and have done a work term in Germany and will be moving to Northern Alberta for another work term in January.

I am not much for partying, but I love meeting new people and finding cool experiences with them. I love nature and getting out and experiencing it!

I am relatively new to this site and I am excited to see what opportunities it brings and new friends that I will meet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are many reasons why I decided to join Couchsurfing. It is a unique way for a traveller to experience new places and meet new people that they may not otherwise. I want to explore, and Couchsurfing provides me with an excellent way to see the world through other people’s eyes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While travelling in the Philippines, my family and I went to this small village on the main island. It was an incredible little village and in the morning we got up early and got out on the water to swim with whale sharks. In the end we were able to swim with two of the massive fish and one nearly surfaced when I was swimming right above it.

I've also trekked the Nepali Himalayas and looked across at Everest from the peak of Gokyo Ri.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an ok drummer and would be up to show anyone the basics. One random talent I have is juggling and I could show you how to get started. I have also taught a little bit of ESL and would be up to being a conversation partner for people to practice on.

The main thing I hope to learn is the culture of the places I am and the most incredible experiences to have while there.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to swap stories and share experiences. Each of us has a different life experience and I see this as an opportunity to get to know someone else’s story and to be apart of it if only for a couple of days. I have many stories from my travel’s throughout South East Asia, and I am now looking to see what stories I can make as I begin my travels in Europe.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Cambodia, China, Czech Republic, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State, Viet Nam
