I'm currently finishing up a PhD in 3D imaging (think Avatar but less sexy). Most days I fiddle around with code, cameras and lasers.

I was finally won over by friends who wouldn't stop talking about their amazing experiences and the people that they'd met.

Music, Movies, and Books

As a physicist, I'm a geek at heart. I enjoy reading a good book, classic sci-fi (Heinlein, Asimov, et al) and to a lesser extent fantasy. Movies? Anything goes, I'm slowly working my way through the IMDB top 250. Music? From Chopin to Epica, it's all good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm qualified to fly gliders; there's nothing quite like dodging clouds for hours, a mile above the ground, knowing that it's just the rising air keeping you up there.

That or visit Tromsø to see the Northern lights.

Learning how to brew your own alcohol is always a useful skill to have.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some good old fashioned British humour and politeness. If you have something electronicsy or computery that needs fixing, I'll have a good attempt at fixing it. I can teach you how to take better pictures or how to use a telescope (if you happen to have one)!
