I'm currently finishing up a PhD in 3D imaging (think Avatar but less sexy). Most days I fiddle around with code, cameras and lasers.

As a physicist, I'm a geek at heart. I enjoy reading a good book, classic sci-fi (Heinlein, Asimov, et al) and to a lesser extent fantasy. Movies? Anything goes, I'm slowly working my way through the IMDB top 250. Music? From Chopin to Epica, it's all good.

I'm qualified to fly gliders; there's nothing quite like dodging clouds for hours, a mile above the ground, knowing that it's just the rising air keeping you up there.

That or visit Tromsø to see the Northern lights.
