I’m from Vietnam 🇻🇳, born and raised. I came to the States in 2021 for college and spent ~3 years in Ohio earning my bachelor’s in Psychology and Data Analytics. I recently graduated and moved to Garland, TX (about 15 miles from downtown Dallas) for a corporate job. My current living situation doesn’t allow me to host guests just yet, but I’m moving to a new place soon and hopefully will be a more active contributor to this community then!

I first discovered Couchsurfing during an exchange semester at the University of Amsterdam in 2022. That semester was a game-changer for me—I spent most of it solo traveling around Schengen area, visiting over 10 countries on a shoestring budget (thanks to Couchsurfing of course!). It would've been impossible if I hadn't taken that semester in Amsterdam, since my Vietnamese passport is pretty much useless for traveling internationally. Those months were some of the best of my life. I met incredible hosts and fellow travelers, each with unique stories and outlooks on life that taught me so much.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

This platform played a huge role in shaping my solo travel experiences. The meaningful connections I made with locals and other travelers have left a lasting impact on who I am today. I’d love to pay it forward by hosting travelers whenever possible—whether here in the U.S. or back home in Vietnam.

I’d love to share some homemade Vietnamese food! I mostly cook for myself at home, so hosting/couch surfing is a great excuse for me to introduce my culture and favorite dishes to new friends.
