About Me

I just completed a cross country move from New York out to Oregon. I had a great time traveling and couchsurfing across America. Now I have a place to host so I am looking to pass on the kindness to other travelers. I am always interested in people's personal stories and I may ask you a lot of questions.

Kindness above all else.

Searching for the meaning of life and delicious ice cream!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love Couchsurfing because it really allows me to get a feel for the place that I am visiting. Getting a personal recommendation about a place to eat or a site visit goes 1,000,000 times farther than a guidebook.

Also, the Couchsurfing community is amazing! I love being able to be connected to people that are different than me. Really, it's the internet at its finest.

Interests

music (from bluegrass to hip hop), traveling, knitting, meeting people, hiking, being silly, changing the world

I play guitar and a copy of Rise Up Singing and I would love to sing a folk song or jam with you!

Also, I love talking about public transportation and urban planning!

Music, Movies, and Books

I've been listening to a lot of bluegrass and folk but I am open to listening to anything. I am always looking to see a good show whether in a concert hall or a dive bar. I play guitar and I love singing folk songs or just jamming out.

Also, I'm always looking for music, book or podcast recommendations, so let me know if you got any good ones. It will really help for the long car rides.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The craziest place I have ever traveled was Israel and the Palestinian territories. I learned so much and was shown kindness by many different types of people. I did a lot of hitchhiking which is one of the most fun ways to travel!

Also I've already been able to do a fair amount of traveling across the US. Right now I'm working my way down South.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to knit and say a couple of choice phrases in Hebrew.

I would like to learn about where you live.

I would like to one day be able to share my own couch with a couchsurfer (my roommates are not so into it right now...). I'll also share my opinions and stories.

Also I'm happy to help out with whatever I can.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I cook a mean breakfast and I make pretty serious sandwiches. I have some good stories, interesting perspectives and a kind spirit. I also play guitar and would love to sing folk tunes with you!

Also, I'm happy to help out with any chores that you need done around the house. Anything to make my stay work easier for you.
