ABOUT ME

My name is Josh! I live in Seattle but occasionally take jaunts to different states or countries. I play a lot of music in my basement and work at restaurants because money. A boss once called me zany, was very proud of herself for the astute description, and used it whenever an opportunity arose. I took offense and vowed to never make a joke again.

Exploring cities under the keen guidance of city knowers, going to shows, DANCING - love me some groovy tunes but will get down to anything, listening to music, cooking - I'm pretty good in the kitchen if you're trying to get some home cooked meals out of this. Oh! I also like riding bicycles a lot! I also like playing rock 'n roll with my long hair. If you have instruments and play them, we should probably jam.

Reading - I'm enjoying Mary Oliver and Rilke on the poetry front. I like sci-fi and comics and literary literature, you know?

Movies - Jim Jarmusch, the Davids, Terry Gilliam, Charlie Kaufman, Coen bros, Jodorowsky, South Korean films.

Music - I'm all about it. All sorts. Good music, bad music, karaoke. Recent favs - Joni Mitchell's 'Wild Things Run Fast', Lou Reed's 'My Blue Mask', all my local bands, Julia Holter, Ultimate Painting, Nudity, Mac Demarco, Arthur Russell, Jamie xx, and all my lady pop. I'm drawn to musics that make me involuntarily move or awe out.

I play guitar and am always willing to share what little I know. Always down for a jam! I like gardening but most my knowledge is about plants in the Pacific Northwest. I can still share basic principles though! Learning Spanish (many years in the making). I can share my slurred and mumbled garbage I call English if you wanna ruin your ears.
