We are a couple from Perth, Australia. We have both travelled a lot separately and we are super excited as this is the first time we are doing it together! We are on a mission to travel the world with no plans on going back home anytime soon, we want to see everything this world has to offer. We sold all of our possessions and now only have what is in our backpacks. We also both train Brazilian jiu-jitsu and we would like to train at the best academics around the globe.

We are super active, not big drinkers, fit, fun and easy going, as much as we would like to train a lot we also want to have fun, eat delicious food, drink amazing coffee and be tourists. We also love to go where the locals go and live like locals do when we are in new places. Maybe even get lost!

We don't really have a plan at this stage Feb to April we will be in the USA then we fly to Europe with no real plan and we are totally open to suggestions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are participating in a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu concept called matsurfing, but as it is in its infancy there are not hosts everywhere so we thought we would use couchsurfing to fill in the gaps as we are on a shoestring budget.
We are on couchsurfing as we love to meet new people and share experiences. Josh has had experience with couchsurfing before as you can see from the references but this is Crystal's first time on this page but has slept on many couches. So together we are new to couchsurfing. We have both been interested for a while but have never been in a situation where we can host people due to our transient lifestyle, living in share houses and the like.

We love BJJ Josh is a brown belt and Crystal is a purple belt and we train at The Arena MMA in Perth under Robert Drysdale.
