Overview
About Me
Joshua and Shaina currently live in a small two-room apartment in Fishtown, Philadelphia. Shaina paints and Joshua studies network dynamics. Shaina is a full time painter with an MFA from the New York Academy of Arts. Joshua is a PhD fellow at Penn's Annenberg School of Communication.
We love Fishtown because it's beautiful, quiet and easily walkable but there's always something going on. It's a popular neighborhood for artists and musicians, and you can see it in the sculpture gardens, murals, and generally DIY attitude. With several music venues, high class restaurants, great dive bars, antique/thrift shopping, and even an old school arcade ("Barcade") there's always something to keep you busy. If for some reason you get bored, its only a 10 minute subway ("el") ride from Center City.

Music, Movies, and Books
Shaina likes to read Charles De Lint, Terry Pratchett, and is frighteningly obsessed with Lord of the Rings.
Josh likes to read social theory.
We both love 90s music, especially Weezer. Josh loves the Grateful Dead and Shaina loves chick rock.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
January 4, 2006: Josh jumped in a creek in Tennessee. I'd never felt so alive.
December 27, 2007: Josh jumped in a bay in San Diego. I thought, "Man this is cold, but not as cold as Tenessee."
Shaina cried the first time she saw a Degas in person at the National Gallery in Washington, DC
