Overview
About Me
Hi. My name is Josh and I have lived in Peterborough, Ontario for 22 years of my life. Coming from a city of medium size, I have grown an appetite for the experiences that the people and places of the world have to offer. I have most recently worked as a tree planter in rural BC and the low-maintenance lifestyle has had quite an impact on me. I'm generally a quiet person although I try to meet people and build relationships wherever I go. I am an optimist with a great sense of humour and I am always looking for things that connect me to others. Overall I think I'm a pretty stand-up guy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If there is a service that connects me to low-cost, comfortable accommodation while also allowing me to make connections all over the world, I'm in. Although I do not have a couch to offer at this time, I am on couch surfing because I want to provide a safe place for people to stay in exchange for that same safety and comfort for myself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At the end of last summer I went on an incredible hike on the Juan De Fuca trail on the coast of Vancouver Island. From lack of preparation it was the most dehydrated I have ever been. However, I have never experienced such beautiful landscapes in my life, and the physical challenge came nowhere close to the reward of living on the Island's beaches for a week.
