About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Making a documentary film about agricultural development. www.thelasthungerseason.com

ABOUT ME

I think of myself as an outgoing, intuitive, fun-loving person who is sensitive to my surroundings and capable of adapting to every professional and social situation. I'm a highly skilled craftsman, inventor, and filmmaker and these skills have served me well through several different "careers". One of my other passions is making wine and I dream of one day starting a winery/distillery. I love the water and have been living on or around boats since age 3. I also love animals and nature and generally try my best to respect the environment and make the world a better place to live.

PHILOSOPHY

All of the greatest lessons I have learned in life came from my experiences traveling and meeting other people. I love this planet and the people and animals who live here. Share! Love! Laugh! Enjoy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I promote couchsurfing as often as possible to travelers who seem like they are into this type of exchange. My wife and I have hosted quite a few couchsurfers at our home in Crystal River, Florida and we love to take people swimming with the manatees and do pirate camping adventures on the beautiful deserted islands in the Gulf of Mexico.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Every couchsurfing experience I have had has been positive. I've made great friends both while traveling and hosting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like my visual/audio stimuli a lot. The less commercialized the better. A good documentary film, some bluegrass/newgrass, funk, blues, rock, jazz, or homespun tales of adventures at sea. Birds chirping, frogs and crickets, and a crackling fire under the stars. That's all I need.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hum.... Just one? It's impossible to choose. OK - Crossing the Atlantic in a 43 foot sailboat!

Teach, Learn, Share

Construction project? I can help you with that. Need something fixed around the house? No problem. Want to make a film? Let's do it. Got fruit? I'll teach you how to turn it into wine.
