I work in the United States Senate. I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. I love talking to new people, and I'm really passionate about education. I'm a life-long learner and enjoy being around new and interesting people. I'm very open minded and chill. Progressive-thinker. LGBT-friendly. Social justice-minded. Immigration-supporter.

Interests

I love good conversation over coffee or beer, especially if I'm learning something new. I'm really into theatre, politics, and I play tennis occasionally. I probably watch too much TV. I love to read and actually enjoy listening to npr among other podcasts (which, I realize makes me seem more boring than I am). I enjoy going out with friends and I'm very open to new travels and experiences. If I could afford it, I'd be more of the foodie I wish I was- and travel more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Honestly, teachingstudents who were mostly immigrants- that was pretty transformative. I've also had some really cool opportunities with my job (like meeting President Obama)!
