About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience the world, make new friends, share, learn and explore.
ABOUT ME
I spend my summer days down at the beach or enjoying Melbourne when I am home but will try to get away as much as possible to see the world. Especially in winter as I am definitely a summer person.
I am a substitute teacher when I am back at home as it allows me flexible working days and to take time off for travel! Its great because if the surf starts to hit I can just go catch a few waves :)
I love to travel and especially when I’m with my partner Maci.
PHILOSOPHY
Spend your money on memories not possessions, nobody can steal memories from you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing to meet lots of new people from around the world. I feel that you don't get the Couchsurfing experience anywhere else. You don't make that connection and even continue that friendship like you do with Couchsurfing.
Interests
More recently got involved with photography and am still learning so much. I have included a couple of my photos on my profile if you would like to see some :)
I have been playing guitar on and off for a while, mainly acoustic.
I had played baseball since I was 8 years old but have recently stepped away from playing due to ongoing shoulder issues and have moved into a coaching role.

Music, Movies, and Books
Recently been getting into a lot more garage rock and modern grunge kinda stuff. Pretty big in Aus now but I love finding new artists. Not that into the top 40 tracks and would prefer to hear something from an unknown. I love checking out local music and live shows!
I enjoy reading some of the classic literature and especially dystopian, although through our most recent trip I lost a $100 bet to my partner as I could not get through Aldous Huxley's "The Island". I loved "Brave New World" and I thought this would be similar but it just wasn't for me. If you have read it and understood all of it, please hit me up!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent a week trekking to Machu Picchu
and climbed Volcano Acatenango in Guatemala
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a Performance and P.E teacher back in Melbourne, I know its a weird combination but I think it says a lot about my personality too.
Big into learning more and more about climate change and our world. If you have some knowledge about the subject I would love to hear and share!
Been learning quite a bit about photography and even just studying my camera. Still have yet to figure out all of its functions! If you have an Olympus OMD please help!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Happy to help with chores and cleaning up. Can also share travel stories and experiences as well as great conversation over a craft beer!
