Overview
About Me
I am a university student from the United States. I am working on degrees in sociology and economics. I love to cook, and I coordinate a low-cost, weekly vegan lunch program at my school. I am happiest when I get to be outdoors, especially when I'm working with plants (I have 24 plants & a tree in my little apartment). I love to run, hike, and bike outside. I am also an avid reader and documentary watcher, and most of the reading and movie watching I do is related to my field of study. I have been really into Amartya Sen's work lately.
The last book I read was called, In Praise of Slowness by Carl Honore, the last meal I ate was pad see ew with tofu, and the last song I listened to was La Loose by Waxahatchee.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the spirit of couchsurfing. I think it creates opportunities to make new friends and see another side of the places you're traveling. It has always enriched my traveling experiences to stay with locals this way.
Interests
I spend most of my income on books, food, and travel. One of my favorite activities is shopping at a farmers market and then making a big meal from what I find. My favorite types of food are Thai, Indian, and Ethiopian. I am a lover of high-quality coffee, bagels, chocolatey dessert, and IPAs.
