ABOUT ME

I am laid back. By nature a homebody, but nature ain't all there is to me. Adventures here I come. Or something.

I am liberal, talkative when in the mood. I am about as far from vegetarian as you can get, but respect those who are. I know a lot about some parts of my city, and less about others. But even if I dont know something, chances are I "know a guy".

PHILOSOPHY

"its all good" or "no hurries, no worries".

Life is here, so you might as well enjoy it. Most of the "negative" things in life are really unimportant. Why worry about them or let them stress you? If it doesn't effect the bottom line its not worth raising ones blood pressure. Perhaps a little enlightened apathy would raise the quality of life for most "civilized" persons.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

How do I want to participate? I want to see all the places I have not seen, meet all the people I have not met, learn all the things I do not know.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS is great. Each surfer who has come to my place has provided an opportunity to show off the area, and the chance for me to revisit and renew my own love of this great, fortunate place we live. Sometimes I even get to find something new I had overlooked. But I can't wait to get out and travel again, to see what amazing thing lies in your back yard.

Building things. Making things. Learning things. Meeting people. Scifi/fantasy/mystery reading. Computer games. Board games. Politics(and the factors driving it). Spirituality. Long walks on the beach and smart-assery. Thinking about things. Travel. Finding a job to pay for the rest of life. Somehow making this cocked up world a slightly better place. Avoiding zombies and nazis and gangs and serial killers and other movie stereotype badguys.

Books: Yes please. I read primarily Sci-fi/fantasy books. Usually in bulk.

Musical tastes vary in this household. I tend to listen to whatever pablum happens to be available as long as it isn't country.

Movies... I enjoy movies. I grew up without a tv and find almost anything on the screen catches my attention.

There's way to much of amazing in the world. The grand canyon at sunset. The vastness of space. The imagination of book authors. The intricacy of real life. The corruptness of politics and the mental gymnastics that people do to avoid thinking about unpleasant things. Meeting new people. A forest, from way back or standing in its midst or zoomed in under a microscope.

My sparkling presence? I do have a super power of providing random gifts that may or may not be useful or wanted. And Im told I have a calming presence. One friend told me that I have a "lebowski-ish presence". And then others agreed.
