CURRENT MISSION

To attend Sundance! I'm going to be at the festival for the premiere of a film I'm a part of, and I'm looking for a place to crash for the weekend.

ABOUT ME

My name's Josh, though frequently people in the service industry hear it as "John". I used to be a waiter (probably the most lucrative job one could've held as a teenager in suburban New Jersey), and even with a name tag reading clearly, in bold, beveled letters: "JOSH", I was referred to as "Chad" by a group of four old people. I mostly chalk that up to their failing hearing aids. Maybe I should enunciate?

I enjoy telling stories, whether it's on film or not. It's very rare that I turn down the call to adventure, I'd always rather be moving somewhere than sitting still.

I moved out to Los Angeles about 15 years ago to pursue a career as a film editor (an occupation which most non-industry people have no understanding). 15 years later, I've got a great career, a great wife, and a great dog. It's going.. great 😃

I'm a proud member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild, IATSE Local 700. I'm on my neighborhood council, where I focus on public art and community events, as well as neighborhood clean ups.

I'm left-handed, I took Tang Soo Do when I was a kid because I love the Power Rangers (I'm a blackbelt, but wayy out of practice), and I love snowboarding.

I'm a live music junkie, so if a scene is what you're looking for, or you need someone to hit a show with, I'm there. We've got a drum set, several guitars, a piano, and an alto sax in the house, so jamming is also an option. The neighbors don't mind.
