About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Rescue a dog and its owners. Dog was hit by a car in Burnaby and the owners are tree planters from Quebec and in a tough spot!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm mostly happy to give someone a free place to stay and have another person around, and hang out if we're both in the mood. Cooking meals together is awesome too, and if I don't have to work the next morning, drinking/going to the pub is a great plan!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in the Netherlands, Canada, and across latin America with people met on various web boards and real life, but not from CS. I have also
hosted several people in my home in Victoria Canada, and it was a great time!

Interests

I like adventuring, fiddling with web sites (php, javascript, etc), writing about things, scheming, dreaming. I'm into landcruisers, overland travel, motorbikes, pedal bikes, self sustainability, apocalypse survival, and cute bunny rabbits.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like sci-fi when I read books (Frank Herbert, Aasimov, Wiliam Gibson, Neal Stephenson, those sort of thing)... Dune has to be one of my all time favourites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent almost two years driving from Victoria BC to the Southernmost city in the world and back in an old beat up Toyota Landcruiser. Managed to smuggle pet bunny rabbit home from Uruguay by land.

More recently I accidentally co-founded what now appears to be a bit of a commune on a 200 acre oceanfront property on Vancouver island.

Teach, Learn, Share

Advice: you can't outrun a police van on a motor-scooter. It may seem plausible, but you can't.

I can teach people how to juggle, teach or fix anything involving computers, possibly even fix your mildly broken personal electronics. I'm always willing to share my smuggling and bribery skills, somewhat-honed through trial and error.

I'm stoked about learning languages, so anybody who will help me with my French or Spanish is a bonus! Whatever your language is I'd love to learn a few words :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, French Guiana, Germany, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, Nepal, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Switzerland, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City State, Venezuela
