ABOUT ME

I grew up in Dubai, and I came out with an idea of how big and diverse the world is, an open mind, and a love for travel and cultures.

I finished high-school in 2003 and took two gap years in South Africa and Sudan before studying Film at Biola University, in L.A. County, California, and did a semester abroad at the University of Oxford studying Theory of Politics and Philosophy of Aesthetics.

After college I worked with Humanitarian International Services Group (www.hisg.org) for 6 months in Nairobi, Kenya, and started a couple of micro-businesses for development there. Then I joined Intentional Engineering in Dubai, which aims to fight poverty with sustainable employment by providing cheaper, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly construction solutions for the developing world. That's still simmering, but to pay the bills I started working with a management consulting firm that specializes in intercultural intelligence (KnowledgeWorkx), and now I'm at Claremont Graduate University polishing up my skills in positive & organizational psychology, evaluation, and neuroscience.

I try to live my life with integrity, I've got a wacky, macabre, sense of humour, and I'm interested in learning and teaching about everything:)

Study, analyze and experience to find the best way to live. Follow what you think is worthy of being followed, be educated, understand cultural relativism, live every moment of life to the fullest and seek first to understand, then to be understood.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm doing what I can with my busy schedule, trying to post my information bit-by-bit, and make my couch available for people. I want to host travellers and explorers, and I am especially interested in meeting people who have a strong lifestyle of art, community involvement, or travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have had a great time with all the everyone I've met through CouchSurfing, from Ked Shayer in Brighton to the CouchSurfing group in Dubai. I hope it keeps on going great!

I produced Sudan's first national HIV/AIDS Prevention Media Campaign when I was 19. (I like saying that, but I really only started when I was 19, I was 20 when I did most of the production;)
