About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel More!!

ABOUT ME

My passion is in anything related to the Internet. I started my own website development firm in 2008. I enjoy what I do, which is developing websites, online stores, portals and keeping up with the web technologies.

Currently, I'm embarking into mobile apps development. I'd just created an Android mobile app called Penang Glutton's Corner. If you visit Penang, you will want to use my app to find all the delicious street food in downtown Penang! Check it out here... https://market.android.com/details?id=com.gluttonscorner.penang.lite

I also love the Linux OS. I use Linux exclusively for the past few years on my desktop server and netbook. I have used Mandriva, Linux Mint, Linux Puppy and Tiny Core Linux. I'd been using Ubuntu since 2008.

I spend a lot of time online since this is my area of work.

Recently, I'd started on Travel Writing! I'd found it to be something I enjoy doing and I'd just launched a travel pix blog at http://shotsnsnippets.com

PHILOSOPHY

Live life to the fullest!

Love what you do, do what you love! I'd done many jobs through the years. A few years back I asked myself, what I would really, really love to do for a living. In the end, I decided to start a biz with my passion. IT and the Internet. I'd learnt developing websites on my own and tinker with Linux. I love what I do and spend many hours online and on my PC. At times, I would spend days on some IT area and dig deep into it :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a great time the first time I met a fellow CS in Hampi. Vijay took us around the ancient city and shared about the place he loves. Also there's a friendly CS in Kochi that met up for a short while.

My second CS experience was when I went to Cambodia. Joined a local CS dinner & met many CSers from all over. That led to some activities together and local tour. It was great fun!

My first-full blown CS was my trip to Indonesia. I CSed at Jogja, Wonosobo and Malang. It was an eye-opening experience. Each host is different but all of them are generous and giving!

Hope to meet more CSers soon!

Interests

Movies, books, Internet stuff and of course... Travel!!

I try to hike at least once a week... and try to swim :P

I usually hike the nearby hills and mounts. I like those with waterfalls because after all the 'hardwork' climbing, the cool dip is the reward!

I'm learning pro photography now. Using a mirrorless camera.

Teach, Learn, Share

For most people, using PCs would mean using Windows. For some, using Mac. Back in 2008, I decided to try out another system called Linux.

Linux is free and open-source. Because of that, I tried using it and after awhile, I found that I like it very much. It can do everything I need to do on a computer.

If you're open, I like to share what I'd found useful and interesting about Linux with you!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
