About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring the western united states and finding my passion to turn into a profession.

ABOUT ME

I'm restless, really. As long as I'm doing something, I'm usually pretty content. I love to hike mountains. Being from Michigan, we don't have those, so I'm excited to perhaps migrate to one of the places that has a whole bunch of them.

I enjoy almost all competitive sports, biking, skiing, kayaking, disc golf, etc. One of my biggest hobbies (obsessions) is an outdoor GPS-enabled game called Geocaching. I love exploring no matter where it is, and geocaching helps to get me there while having specific objectives to conquer.

I also love climbing, looooove rock. Michigan is beautiful but I need to live somewhere with mountains nearby

PHILOSOPHY

Life is wonderful and has so much to offer. Trying to escape from modern society's "normal life" mentality (get a mundane job, have a family, retire, and die).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed with a number of hosts now, in 4 different countries. All have been the most excellent. Couchsurfing continually restores my faith in humanity that we have some really amazing, selfless, giving souls out there.

Need to start going to events in my area! Can't wait to host once I have an unrestricted apartment.

Interests

Geocaching, Hiking, Biking, Disc Golf, Volleyball, Hockey, Skiing, Exploring, Music. Very open to many things!

Music, Movies, and Books

Post-Hardcore/Metalcore

Electronic (Dubstep... etc)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked 24 countries in europe over 3 months. With only a eurail pass, our backpacks, and $3000.

LIving out of a cargo van exploring the western US for 5 months with my gf.

I've ran a marathon, and to some, that might not be so amazing. But those minus 4 hours were one of the biggest mental/physical struggles that I've ever experienced.

Ran a Spartan Beast too (in a foreign country ;). Third most physically devastated I've ever been in my life. 16 mile run through woods and hills while all of the obstacles seemed to involve carrying heavy things. I've never had leg cramps that painful. I made it in 32nd place out of 1004 racers which felt pretty incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't have any overwhelming specialty or specific knowledge area that would be useful to share, even with a college degree.

I have a particularly high learning interest in Maps/Geography and Meteorology, and have picked up quite a bit of information in my exploration that may be worth sharing.

Besides that, I am willing to share whatever else I may have learned in my 24 years.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a pro at budget traveling so if you need any tips I'm your guy!

I'm a good listener, amateur talker(sometimes)
