About Me

I'm a 19yr old student on a gap year currently backpacking South America solo (and loving it so far!) for about 5 months. Planning on losing my "Couchsurfing virginity'' on this trip because so many people have recommended it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To take another step outside of my comfort zone. I'm naturally very introverted so I'm trying to make a conscious effort to meet new people, because every time I do I have an amazing time and make the best memories! I'd also love to get a locals perspective on the area I'm in, to learn more about the city and discover cool new places there.

Interests

My interests have changed a lot recently; I used to like video games, movies, basically anything comfortable and easy. But since I've started this trip I've caught the travel bug and just want to explore everywhere and meet new people! Hopefully I can find that on Couchsurfing :)

  • hiking
  • snorkeling
  • skydiving
  • computer science
  • exploring
  • flipping off the comfort zone

Music, Movies, and Books

Indie pop-rock is my main genre (Think, Imagine Dragons, Arctic Monkeys), Currently watching O Casa De Papel on Netflix and reading Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy but any recommendations are good!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently, Iguazu Falls. Woah. Nature is beautiful 😍. Absolutely stunning. Also I got my skydiving license this year which was one of the most fun things I've done on my gap year so far.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you speak Spanish and are learning English, we can learn from each other! I also love learning about different foods in other countries, and exchanging travel tips and stories is always fun!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Talks about culture and travel, a new friend on a night/evening out and a relatively inexperienced mind to teach new travel advice too 😎

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, England, Germany, Gibraltar, Malta, Poland, Romania, Spain, United States, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In

England
