Overview
About Me
I am a 25yr old english and history teacher from Australia. After graduating from uni 3 years ago, I moved to London and began teaching there. Now I am on my way home to Australia again via land and sea.
I have a strong passion for the environment and sustainability (which is the main reason I decided not to fly), and I am always looking for ways to reduce my impact and help others who want to do the same.
I am a vegetarian and I try to live a low impact lifestyle, but I am not the kind of person to push my opinions and beliefs on others and I always want to hear about other ways of life and different beliefs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find that living with and getting to know locals is a much more rewarding and interesting experience than staying in the 'backpacker bubble' in hostels.
Interests
I love reading (virtually any genre, but fantasy, sci-fi, and history are my favourite). Apart from reading, I occupy myself when I have free time with activism and Brasilian Jiu Jitsu.
I love a good chat about movies, books, and the world and how we can save it. But at the same time, I like to have my own time as well to recharge and chill out.
- reading
- learning
- jiujitsu
- watching movies and tv shows
- acvitism
- menial and/or serious chats
Music, Movies, and Books
I don't listen to a lot of music, but when I do it's rap and indie rock.
I love sci-fi, fantasy, historical drama, historical non-fiction, documentaries (both movies and books).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Solo hiking for 7 days in the Scottish Highlands
Teach, Learn, Share
I am an English teacher, so I can help you learn if you need. I can also offer advice on how to live more sustainably if you wish.
I was learning Mandarin at uni so I try to read and learn as much as I can to keep up with this.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help pay for groceries and cook. I can also offer help with English and tips on how to live more sustainably. And of course, a place to stay when I get back to Australia!
