About Me
As soon as I graduated from University in Kent back in 2015, I grabbed a bicycle and some cheap gear, booked a plane from Istanbul back home to the UK and set off on a 2.5 month adventure to go catch that flight in time cycling across half of Europe along the way. Since that journey, I settled into a relatively routine job in London, hoping to get to grips with the big city, but the urge to hit the road rolled around again and the second big trip I went with a friend from Porto to Rome all along the Mediterranean. Both were unique and fun, particularly the lessons learned from travelling both alone and with someone. Then I ended up back at the same company knowing that it wouldn't be long before I was looking for a change again...
Now I'm hoping to try a new way of getting around, America seems like such a fascinating place to travel to right now and so I'm ditching my bike and giving hitchhiking a go with the aim to pull off a coast to coast trip and meet as many people as possible along the way. Whether I'm cycling or working or travelling any other way, the people always make the journey and I love to talk and share stories!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To discover things that I would never be able to without the knowledge that fellow Couchsurfers can give me. Making connections with people across the world.
Interests
I love football and have supported Crystal Palace all my life but the sport I love to play is Ultimate Frisbee. I've played all throughout University and at some tournaments, the best was one in Grenoble in the Alps although that may also have been because of the open bar all weekend. I enjoy cycling (planning a big cycle trip across Europe right now and plan to couchsurf along the way) and hiking but often just like to relax with a movie.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything and everything music related, typically a lot of jazz, hip hop and Latin music. I'm a huge film fan, I love watching films, talking about films and love learning about people's favourite films. Just finishing up reading an introductory book on the topic of Stoicism and looking to delve further into that philosophy but I'm a fiend for novels usually and anything that can transport me to another time or place.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Flying all the way to Canada with my brother when we were just 11 and 13 to go skiing with an old family friend. It was an amazing feeling of adventure to be left alone to travel half way around the world. Sadly I broke my arm 3 days in so missed out on some amazing skiing but the trip was so memorable anyway.
What I Can Share with Hosts
All of my stories from the road in Europe and the situations that I’ve got myself into! I always love to talk and find ways to express my ideas and I’m always open and receptive to the ideas and views that other people hold! I can also share some great recipes (most of them not actually British...oops)
