Hey everyone! I'm an American master's student studying here in Nijmegen for 3 months. I'm looking rooms for rent, but I am also looking for fellow foreign students or friendly Dutch students that are interested in making new friends! I study at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL, and am earning my Master's in School Counseling. I already have quite a bit of experience in the field of counseling and social services, and love meeting others with the same passion.

I listen to a wide variety of music, and enjoy going to small shows in bars and cafes. Some of favorite bands include the Arctic Monkeys and Minus the Bear, but I like A LOT of different genres, including 50's rock and roll and so on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This trip overseas is my first time out of America, and I'm by myself! So this is pretty amazing to me LOL.

I have gone swing dancing in New Orleans, and have visited several beautiful natural springs in my home state of Florida.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm here for education, so I'm going to be spending time teaching in Dutch schools and working with gifted children in institutions of all kinds. I am a counselor, and working with these types of clients is my specialty. I can talk for hours about my work, I'm very passionate about helping others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am always happy to discuss my field of study and share ideas with students interested in the advanced fields of psychology. I love to play games, and am always up for any kind of board game or drinking game. I also love just sharing stories and having a good time with others over a drink (or several drinks). Let's have a good time!

I pretty naturally go into "counseling mode", so you'll find that I'm an excellent listener. I can't help it: I love hearing people's stories and discovering what's important to them!
