About Me
I love exploring the natural world! Travel, living simply, and enjoying this planet we live on. Life is everywhere, and taking the time to appreciate the small wonders of the world in every living thing is pretty much what I'm about.
I am an experienced birder, and photographer as well. I got my first camera 10 years ago, and it's been a deep passion of mine ever since! I love wildlife and landscape photography, because I'm usually outside hiking, camping, or birding anyway.
Stephanie, my fiancé, and I have traveled the American southwest and to coastal Canada, camping all the way. Any chance to experience the local culture and animal life is what we live for.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When traveling, I want to meet locals and make friends. The experience of staying with people will add so much to travel, allow me to get a better feel of the culture and even get some tips on great places to go and things to do that the usual traveler may not know about!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - All nature documentaries the BBC produced. Action Adventure and travel shows live ''Departures" are my favorite.
Music - all kinds! Rock, electric, dance, indie, folk, latin, hardcore, metal... you name it! Expect Country... I do not like country music!
Books - Science books, and books about travels. I am currently reading "The Hidden Life of Trees".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
7 day sea kayak trip off the coast of British Columbia... That's an amazing trip!
I built the engine for my car that I raced in an amateur autocross division.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my passion and knowledge of photography and birds and other animals. The natural world crazier than fiction, and being able to share and explore it with new friends is the best way to spread knowledge and foster conservation!
