About Me

I grew up in San Antonio and have wanted to travel for most of my life. Now that I am a nurse, I have the funds to do so. My first intercontinental trip across the ocean was to Korea ^.^

In addition to traveling, I enjoy hiking and camping in different national parks, I am a swing dance/lindy hop instructor and competitor, I play jazz music on guitar, and I love to cook.

Unfortunately, because I live with three other roommates, so I am not able to host anyone at this time. In the future, when I have my own place to live, I will welcome others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because I feel that the best way to take in everything possible on a visit it a country is to stay with a local. I do not want the experience of a tourist, but more so of what the actual culture of a town or country is. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about other cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a wide range of music from Louis Armstrong (Jazz), Demon Hunter (Metal), to Mozart (classical). I really enjoy indie/alternative music as well.

Movies I like are suspenseful movies that have you puzzled the entire time. I also like the Marvel movies that are coming out lately.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been camping in Big Bend National Park which is the darkest part of the continental United States. you can literally see thousands of stars, the milky way galaxy across the sky, and on the mountain tops, you can see for several miles into Mexico.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching and learning. I am more than willing to help with English or swing dancing/lindy hop. I would love to learn from locals their language and practices as well. I appreciate learning how to cook food from different cultures as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experience, English, how to swing dance or play guitar. I can cook great American, Italian, or even Mexican food. I also cook Cajun food, stir-fry dishes, and then I make up a lot of recipes as well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, South Korea

Countries I’ve Lived In
