About Me
Hallo?! Hello?! Hej?! Salut?! We are twins from Germany and we are about to Backpack through the UK from June 27th to July 17th. Our family and friends describe us as very open minded, funny and polite. We can’t wait to explore the UK and visit all these amazing people on our journey. WE LOVE CULTURE!!!!
Joshua:
I am Joshua, a 19 year-old-student. My big goal is to major in International Relations and Sociology. Hamburg is my hometown, I was born and raised here. I used to live in central Pennsylvania as an exchange student. After that, I started to travel more around Europe. Learning other languages and and their cultures has always been extremely fascinating to me.
Very important in my life is culture. I love politics. Being engaged is very important to me because I used to worked in on the board of the state’s youth council and I am a proud Amnesty International member. My favorite sport is probably Track, but I actually like every sport. I didn’t traveled that much yet, but I really wanna change that.
And I love partying and festivals !!!
Saphira:
I am currently employed in our town museum and working at social-cultural youth projects on federal level. People say I am a very creative sometimes pretty artsy person. Maybe due to my job I love visiting museums and art exhibitions. In general I love art and culture. My big goal in my work and in my free time is to encourage other people my age to be more interested in culture and art.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We think it's the best way of getting to know other people in different places. We lived abroad and realised that having and creating these kind of international networks can really benefit you. CS is definitely a community which provides those networks. We also love to learn from other cultures and points of views.
