About Me

# 2x vaccinated since 15.7.21 #

Hey, I'm Joshi. I'm in my early twenties and am currently living in Bremen since 2019. I'm studying geoscience (=geology), so if we're going through nature I'll probably stop at every outcrop and start talking what these stones might be :D

During the summer, chances are you'll find me at the beachvolleyball or basketball court, but I´m also enjoying bike tours and currently I´m trying to figure out if hiking is something I enjoy :)

Well this description basically only says what I like and not really who I am, so let me try to put some words around this too. I'd describe myself as an easygoing guy that likes stones, sports and board games. I believe that one of the most important things in life is to try to change your surroundings so, that you have the best chance to accidentally stumble into something good, as many of the important desicions you make are happening without you realizing your making them at this point in time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So far I´ve travelled via hostels or with helpx, and now finally decided to try out CS after having this account for some 2,5 years. Let´s just try to have a good but also interesting time :)

Music, Movies, and Books

The book series Metro 2033 is a great and unique scenario in my opinion. It plays in the metro in Moscow after a war, which rendered earths surface uninhabitable with the sole survivors being the people that were in the metro during the bomb impacts. The stations developed into separate little 'states' some formed coalitions, some are at war with each other but most just struggle for survival with mushrooms as the only food source in the dark and cold metro tunnels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering in North Ireland and Spain.
Camping in a hammock.
Starting to study geoscience.
An improvised trip to the mountains in Czech.
Floorball tournament in Enschede.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can fix some meals, (try) to offer a good competition in your favorite board game and, only if you're interested if course, tell you a lot about stones (in your area) and general geological processes and phenomena. I also know a thing or two about astro physics. Also if I'm coming to you there's probably a trip in nature I have in mind where I'd be more than happy if you want to join! :)
