About Me

I joined CS in 2015, but have only recently began using it, so, I consider myself new to Couch surfing and hoping to gain new experiences by meeting new people while traveling. Most of my friends say I have a chill demeanor, open minded here, I enjoy learning new things such as skills or wisdom. Knowledge is power. Enjoy living life to the fullest. I treat others as I would like to be treated, respectful to everyone, good vibes here ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to meet new and local people, gain new experiences and see the way life is as a local. Being with local people traveling through Africa has taught me a lot. The way they live, cook, shower, and sleep. I came to a realization that I enjoy sleeping in huts with a mattress on the floor. Taking showers with a bucket of water and only using the water that is needed. When cooking, we cook and socialize like a family. It’s a great way to get to know each other and learn from one another.

Music, Movies, and Books

Enjoy most of music including classical, jazz, hip hop, reggae and more. I enjoy listening to new music. I like movies based on true stories/events. One of my favorite movies is Patch Adams with Robin Williams. It is a movie were a doctor uses humor and laughter to heal his patients. It’s an inspirational movie. I don’t read much books but really want to start reading more often. One book I absolutely loved was “The Outsiders.” Stay golden pony boy. 😎
Update on book reading: I bought a book in Zambia called, “Born a Crime” by Trevor Noah. I have decided to make it a mission to read more. I have been going to book exchange places and trading one book for another. I have forgotten the thrill of how an interesting book can grasp your attention to keep reading.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am currently traveling through Africa from Cairo to Cape Town. So far I have experienced so much on this trip, listening and trying to learn new languages, and eating new types of food! Staying with the local people has also been an experience of a lifetime, I have seen so much and personally grown on this trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach different ways of traveling like a backpacker, tips that can help save a little bit of money here and there. Any amount of money saved can go a very long way. I want to learn new languages, explore the way others live and learn about a new culture. I had started teaching myself a little bit of Japanese and French for fun during my travels. I can share my experiences and some wisdom that I have learned through out this lifetime.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share experiences and stories from my travels. I can be good company to have a good time and can spread the good vibes around.
