About Me
Hello! I'm a current Asheville, NC resident that grew up near the beach and now find myself couch surfing. I have college degrees in English and Marketing, and I now own a boutique marketing agency and work for a company called OAK Digital.
For hobbies, I love writing, playing / listening to music, collecting vinyl, doing stand-up, and following soccer - I'm a huge Liverpool fan. I'm a jack of all trades and I'm for any adventure.
Overall, I’d really just like to find balance in my life with just enough challenge and presence, while giving back to those around me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had a friend that travels frequently recommend this to me in the summer of 2019 before I road-tripped to Asheville. I relied on Couchsurfing last summer and had a really good time doing it.
As someone who is bootstrapping their business (i.e. no outside investment), expenses can add up pretty quickly. Things like software costs, TAXES, and travel expenses are some of the big financial drainers for an emerging business owner.
Often, I travel to various locations throughout the United States for trade shows / conferences, which typically span up to a five day period. Typical costs include flights. conference tickets, lodging, and of course food while you are on the road.
If I am fortunate enough to land on anyone's couch during these conference events, it will likely save at least $1k out of my personal finances.
The couch surfing community can really support my entrepreneurial endeavors by offering a place to crash during these times.
I understand the couchsurfing is a two-way street and I plan to open up my home in Asheville, NC for travelers in need of a place to stay.
Aside from the logistical or "practical" reasons, I would also just like connect with people and have memorable experiences with some locals!
Let's grab a beer or chat by the fire as we talk about this crazy thing called life.
