About Me

I'm a software engineer, used to be at Google in NYC and have been traveling for the past 15 months, have been to about 20 countries in this time.

I have a flight pass that lets me travel anywhere in the world for only airline taxes, so sometimes I'll catch a standby flight across the world on a whim.

I just bought a motorcycle in Northern Ireland, a Kawasaki KLR 650, which I'm in love with and will take touring around Europe.

While traveling, I am running a software consultancy and tutoring computer science.

Love meeting new people and making connections, have developed a great network this past year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Beautiful way to meet people who care enough to share their space, something I've done many times and have met some extraordinary people this way. I appreciate the contrast to the sort of transactional vibe associated with Airbnbs. Also tend to find a lot of people with similar interests and life views on this network. I have a passion for math, technology, music production, traveling, etc. - and it's amazing to be linked up with these similar interests and see what kind of natural synergy comes up in a short duration.

Interests

I tend to get locked into things quickly. Since traveling, I've gone head first into studying Japanese, music production, diving, yoga, tantra, etc. When I decided to get a motorcycle, I sat on it for a year or so and then put everything into motion within a few days. I tend to be very passionate and dedicated to whatever I'm focused on at the time, difficult for me to maintain focus on multiple activities but fluid for me to become 100% focused on what's in front of me. I'm always up for spending a week or two and adding something new to the list.
