Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are leaving our cold, comfortable hometown in Maine for an unfamiliar adventure. We don't have much left for us here in Maine and are ready to dive again into the unknown. There's no time like the present.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We backpacked from Maine to Eugene, Oregon this past year, with just what we could carry and about $500 each to start. We even ditched our tent in Louisiana, and for about a month in Oregon we stayed in a very lovely field. Out of all the places we stayed during our four months there, that field was by far the best and we met the best people there. Some sketchy people, too, but that comes with living in a field. We sometimes miss our field. We do like somewhat regular showers, but the feeling of freedom that comes with living without time is something we miss often.
