About Me
"When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love." - Marcus Aurelius
Hello! My name is Josh, I'm a 25yr old philosophy graduate aka I've mastered the art of staring pensively out of windows. I have been living and working in the big smoke (London) for the past year and have (almost) loved every minute of it.
I am a naturally inquisitive person and spend as much time as I can reading, reflecting, and exploring.
I've travelled to over 35 countries.
I enjoy a full spectrum of things, from simple pleasures (a good conversation with a friend, a cup of coffee in the morning, reading a great book, playing music) to finding those moments of wonder (parties with people you'll never forget, exploring the unknown, working on difficult problems).
I'm a voracious reader. Currently reading The Language of Cities by Deyan Sudjic.
I love digging for new records in every city I visit.
I don't have everything figured out, but that's the point ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a pretty big music nerd (i listen to all kinds of music including jazz, classical, funk, soul, psych-rock, most styles of electronic music (techno, breakbeat, house, and minimal to name but a few)). Check out my Soundcloud here: https://soundcloud.com/instaylor.
Terrence Malick and Kubrick are my favourite film directors. Space Odyssey blows my mind every time I watch it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've written a speech for Bill Gates which was a pretty amazing (not to mention stressful) experience.
