I recently downsized my small business and purchased a 1979 36’ Red Admiral sloop, from a loving husband and wife that lived on her for the past 34 years, sailing her from England in 1983 and living an enjoyable life throughout the Caribbean and the east coast. She is docked in New Bern , NC where I have been learning how to sail her. I have around 250 hours on the water with her and have been living aboard her part time , learning all the systems.
Growing up on the west coast of Florida and having a deep love of water, the ocean calls me to change my career as a 3rd generation lineman. I am an avid whitewater kayaker and have 15 years experience running the most challenging Class V rivers on the east coast.
I have sailing, power boat and whitewater experience . I feel that becoming part of your crew will allow me to fully understand the meaning of life at sea, and also gain valuable knowledge that I can take with me across the globe.
I plan on retracing the route that was left to me on my new home, and sailing beyond once I gain more experience behind the helm.
Being a lineman and having owned my own company, I am no stranger to hardships of the weather, hard work and extreme working conditions. No such thing as bad weather just bad choices of gear! I have also gained extensive knowledge in rigging , rope works and cable that I feel will transfer in the sailing and marine industry very well. I am very comfortable working at heights and preform all the maintenance on my boat
