About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Become a more interesting person
ABOUT ME
I do my best to maintain simplicity in my life so I can focus on what is most important to me.
I have had a passion for working with cameras since I was very young.
I love to watch movies. And Seinfeld.
I'm easy-going, I like to talk and joke around.
I'm a problem-solver. I like to help people.
I like to write letters, in any form- emails, handwritten posts, post-its, long facebook messages, texts
PHILOSOPHY
“The simplest things are often the truest.” - Richard Bach
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used to teach some cinematography classes every now and then at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. It gave me some good experience teaching, so now I try to teach one on one as often as possible, sometimes to surfers, sometimes to hosts.
I make pour-over coffee for my roommate about 4 times a week.
I am always up for shooting portraits of my hosts, or anything they need photos of.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have a lot of hosting experience. After Hurricane Katrina I hosted over 50 surfers who were involved in relief efforts for New Orleans. I have surfed often but usually with people I already know. I don't host many CS surfers because I am often on the road or working long hours.

I experienced the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina for months, it was both sad and amazing. I watched it break down many social barriers and bring some very divided communities and social classes together.
I shot the pilot for a travel series about the unknown parts of Africa.

I can teach about photography, cinematography, coffee stuff, movies, filmmaking, film gear, the film industry, United States culture, New Orleans culture. I am pretty good with computers as well.
