About Me

I love three things primarily. Photography, Technology and Travel. Overall I'm a bloody nerd and a knowledge addict.

I might cuss a little bit. I love languages, but don't know even one properly ... kindly adjust.

A few years ago I exchanged my Microsoft badge for unemployment and a bit of camera gear. Yes I was a Sith and a Decepticon. Get over it.

I don't care much for religion.

I can't cook - Nothing other than eggs anyway, but if you are up for some Russian roulette, I'll try make something. Hopefully your knowledge with the local dining spots can be a good bandage to the damage I cause. I do eat just about everything that flew or swam or walked or grew out of the earth. Except Brinjal/Zuccini/Eggplant .. those are my Kryptonite.

I sometimes (defined as whenever there's good company) drink a bit and then give long lectures on why human beings deserve the world they've created for themselves.

PHILOSOPHY

Live as you want to, so long as it does not disturb others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I go to meetups. Participate in the forums. Try to guide people out. Host people in Bangalore, but mostly outside of the CS Network.

I've now been on the road for years and live a permanently nomadic life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I do not usually surf or host through CS - Although I've done through the other networks.

Music, Movies, and Books

Shawshank Redemption, Godfather, All Clint Eastwood and Spielberg films. I have too many favorites to mention here as I'm a big movie buff.

Michael Jackson's earlier works, Elvis, Nick Cave, Adele, Cliff Richard, most 80's stuff, The Classical trinity - Beethove, Bach and Mozart.

Authors: Robert Ludlum, Sidney Sheldon, Wayne Dyer, Og Mandino, Paulo Coelho, Charles Dickens.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Managed to lose my entire life's investment of awesome camera gear all in one single disaster of a day during a short journey. Yes I am that stupid.

Met with an awesome two wheeler accident. A jerk in a black scoda fabia (wish I knew the number) ran into me. A few stitches on the head and I'm, unfortunately for the minions, back on the road travelling again. Coolest part - Remembering every micro moment of the really cool slow motion triple bouncing off the road. Bullet Time rocks.

Came face to face with a rogue Elephant in Mudumalai. The mighty fella let me leave peacefully.

Walked all the way from Chicago Union Airport to Navy Pier. It took all of 5 hours - But a wonderful experience nonetheless :-)

Narrowly missed the spray of a skunk while trying to catch it. Learnt my lesson without the punishment.

Slept on a bike while riding it for 7 kilometers. Stupidest moment of my life. Out of a lot of really stupid moments.

Tried to pet a newly captured leopard .. still have my fingers, but probably will try that again.

Jumping on and off a ski rail from my room in Whistler. If you are ever in the eastern coast of Canada, get there. It is an amazing little resort village.

Shot 20 bullets out of the decades old standard 302 police issue rifle - I don't think even one hit the target.

If you are still reading, why so? ~!!
