Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To glorify God
ABOUT ME
I love Jesus. I'm from Texas. I can be fairly introverted unless you provide me with some stimulus. My default setting is savoring a cup of coffee. "Epic" and "glorious" are my two favorite (English) adjectives.
PHILOSOPHY
Reality.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host weary travelers looking to explore Fez and the ancient medina. I've only been in Fez for less than a year, but I do my best to help surfers get a good introduction to Moroccan life, with a taste of Texas thrown in. Every so often when I get a break from teaching I try to hop over to some place (in Morocco or beyond) where I have not yet been.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Each time I've surfed or hosted I have encountered relatively easy-going, go-with-the-flow type people. This is great because it allows the traveling experience to be a little more organic and relational, rather than an over-booked, itinerary-based task.
Interests
Traveling - obviously. Reading. History. Tribes, languages, peoples and nations. Coffee. Epic scenery. Sunsets. Drinking a cup of coffee while taking in an epic sunset. That feeling like you are living in the exact moment just after the climax of an epic adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books
Epic movies: Braveheart, Gladiator, Patton, Last of the Mohicans, Apollo 13.
Music: A little bit of everything, except rap and techno. Lyrics are hugely important, but I can really enjoy good music in a language I don't understand.
Books: Mainly non-fiction, but being an English teacher is forcing me to branch out into some fiction genres.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Done:
>Road tripped through Mexico, from Texas to the Pacific coast and back.
>Climbed 5 Colorado 14-ers in 5 days.
>Hiked the cliffs of the Gower peninsula in Wales. >Lost my passport during a layover in Sevilla, Spain - fun misadventure!
>For three years of college I lived in a 14-bedroom house with 27 other guys and girls (it was not a frat house, it was community).
Seen:
Taj Mahal. Golden Temple. The oldest university in the world (Qarawiyyan in Fez). Grand Canyon. NYC from the Top of the Rock. The Sagrada Familia by Gaudi in Barcelona. Ait Benhaddou.
