About Me
I'm married and have a baby boy. I love Jesus and I love people with my whole heart. I've grown up in Mexican, White American, Jewish, African American, Black Caribbean, and Asian neighborhoods throughout my life. I speak three languages. I majored in Intercultural Studies. I love people, cultures, languages, food, and life. I currently work as an investment advisor, first mate on a yacht, and I lead my own non-profit organization.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I'm traveling with my wife and son, we use other traveling platforms, so we could have more privacy. However, when I'm traveling solo I love to use couchsurfing to stay with locals, make new friends, and explore local spots.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went backpacking across America from Miami to San Francisco for six months with my friend Alex. We took no money, no car, no credit cards, and had zero contacts along the way. It was in 2007. I had never heard of couchsurfing yet, so we didn't use the platform. We never asked anyone for money, food, shelter, or a ride. By God's grace and provision, we had 3 meals a day every single days and only stayed on the streets for 4 nights out of six months. It was a life changing journey. One in which I experience the reality of God and His love for the world like I had never experienced before.
