HI THAR -- I'm a graduate student in physics, studying a field which is about either complex systems and emergent phenomena, or hunks of metal, depending on who you ask. I get excited about a lot of things, though...

I feel most satisfied when I am making a crazy idea into a reality. Second place goes to just /experiencing/ a pre-existing bizarre reality.

I wish I read more! When I do read, it's usually overly-ambitious conceptual epics which I loose motivation for halfway through, OR super-fun "speculative" fiction which I devour effortlessly (Murakami, Eco, Miéville, Gaiman, ...).
