About Me
Single guy who likes learning new things and going new places. I've recently discovered the term to describe someone like me (thanks, Séamas Hoyaux!), it is Third Culture Kid. If you google that term, you'll learn a lot about my true culture.
I've visited 11% of the world so far! So much left: http://traveltip.org/visited.php?joshuahilbig
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My work is at home, so I have a lot of time to get to know my surfers. My place is clean and warm.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love meeting and hosting people! I hosted hundreds of couchsurfers when I lived in Armenia. Now that I'm in Ecuador, I look forward to continuing to meet and host.
Saving money is great, but meeting new people and learning new cultures is the best reason to couchsurf.

Music, Movies, and Books
All sorts of music, psychological, sci-fi, adventure movies and books. Favorite books might be by Orson Scott Card or Tom Clancy.
Definitely a Star Wars and Star Trek fan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Only one!?! :) Backpacking in Japan was something else, but the one that I treasure the most is hiking though the Amazon and living with the natives for weeks at a time.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll help you practice your English, Spanish, or Portuguese, or teach you how to make your favorite cocktails. B-) Sounds like a great evening!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Show me some bottles, and I love creating any cocktails that you can request.
