ABOUT ME
Hello everyone! I'm an artist/blacksmith from ottawa. I'm currently on my way back east after a summer of treeplanting, ready to fire the forge back up. A little about myself: I feel like I'm kind of a weird guy. Who isn't, right? I'm nice and friendly and can be high energy, if I am comfortable around you, and well rested. Otherwise I'm kind of reserved and awkward. Sometimes I'm somewhere in between. I have a lot of interests and hobbies, and I enjoy building things with my hands, or doing physical things (sports, tree climbing, unicycling, medieval reenactment). I also spend a lot of time thinking about stuff and wasting time on the internet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed some lovely couches in the past, and I've hosted some wonderful people over the years.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couch surfing has been a wonderful resource on my travels so far. It's always great to meet friendly souls in strange cities. I have never had a disappointing couch surfing experience. Also, I have been hosting a lot of surfers over the years, and it's been great. It's great to get the chance to help people out.
Interests
I like to bike, ski, rollerblade, skate, unicycle, play guitar and ukulele, build armour, paint, swim, climb things etc. I'm not much good at most of that, but I have fun.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like lots of different bands that are rarely similar. Uh, I guess I would say that I listen mostly to punk and folk. That's not totally accurate, but I do love both of those. In summary: Music is awesome!.
I also love movies. I would say that my favourite movies include The Life Aquatic and 12 monkeys
I don't read as much as I should, but here is an incomplete list of authors I like: Hermann Hesse, Gabriel Garcia Marques, Kurt Vonnegut, Franz Kafka
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The other day I ate this HUGE breakfast. I was really impressed.
For reals though, hitch hiking adventures across the US and Canada have been amazing experiences. There is something beautiful about the concept of hitch hiking: surrendering your plans and schedules to the whims and kindness of strangers. I learned a lot about myself, and my friend, and humans in general. You meet all kinds of interesting people you otherwise wouldn't.
Teach, Learn, Share
Things I could teach: I know stuff about metal working and other random subjects
